Example of my work

When I was about 13 I got my first camera. I was really excited. It was an older camera from a church member who had many that they didn't need anymore. I had wanted a camera ever since I was little and envied my older sisters because they had one. I didn't start taking pictures right away but I was always excited to use it. I was really shy throughout my teenage years so taking pictures of people was and still is more difficult for me. Taking pictures of nature was much easier and its something that I love to do. Capturing the beauty of the earth is amazing to me and I love to look back at those pictures. I also really like taking sports pictures, trying to catch the motion and the action of the event. I didn't really know anything about photography so most of what I took were simple snapshots but I really enjoyed it.
This is a picture of some papaya that I took for my beginning photography class that I really like. It gives a different perspective of papaya and how it grows. The title to this piece was actually "hanging out" because that's what papaya do, which I thought was kind of funny. I enjoy all kinds of nature and the beauty that is always found there. You may have to deal with wind or storms that ruin your plans but that just means you can change those plans and take advantage of the situation and capture unanticipated beauty.
